Appleby Spurling & Kempe

Using Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, Appleby Spurling & Kempe developed a portal that improves productivity for attorneys, corporate administrators, secretaries, and other support staff. Dubbed Pathfinder, the portal provides a single tool for accessing information that resides in multiple systems: file server, client and contact management, time tracking and billing, and a dozen repositories of specialized legal information. Users enjoy a personalized experience tailored to their unique job roles—one that puts frequently used documents, forms, and resources just a few clicks away. With self-service access to legal research and client information at their fingertips, attorneys now are more efficient than ever at meeting client needs.

Clean Water Services

Like many government agencies that are required to keep auditable records that demonstrate compliance with regulations, Clean Water Services had acquired a surfeit of documentation in filing cabinets, public folders, and on individuals’ hard drives. This made it difficult to find information or collaborate effectively. Clean Water Services is updating its intranet that had inefficient navigation and poor information taxonomy and is deploying a Microsoft Office System solution, including Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server that integrates with Windows SharePoint Services. Now employees can collaborate using online workspaces, search information, and publish documents to the intranet using familiar Microsoft Office desktop tools.

Corillian Corporation

Corillian Corporation is improving organizational productivity by deploying Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Windows SharePoint Services, Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003, and Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. With the integrated solution, employees will be more productive in the activities they do every day: finding and sharing information, collaborating on and publishing documents, attending meetings, and accessing data in the company’s many internal systems. Corillian’s customer and developer communities also will benefit from the company’s deployment of SharePoint Portal Server through a personalized extranet portal—one that replaces two existing portals and provides a single location for information about Corillian’s products and services.
